The Genshin Impact team used their Version 2.8 Livestream to add a unique preview of the eagerly anticipated territory amid the deluge of leaks regarding the next country, Sumeru. The video, which can be seen on the official Japanese Twitter account @Genshin 7, gives players a sneak peek at some of the stunning vistas in Sumeru, including the area’s distinctive Statue of The Seven, wildflowers, rain forests, and architecture. Additionally, a memorable song that was featured in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, which provided a little glimpse of Sumeru’s journey, is played in the background of the clip.

While the real-world nations of Germany, China, and Japan served as the inspiration for Monstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, respectively, Sumeru appears to be driven by a fusion of many civilizations. The nation of wisdom is said to combine elements of South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, as well as names derived from historical events on several continents.
A young girl’s voice that played on a blank screen was another gift from the Genshin Impact Livestream. Lesser Lord Kusanali, a Dendro Archon who was speculated to appear in Version 2.8—albeit without a physical model—is thought to be the owner of the enigmatic voice. She and the Traveler may be able to communicate telepathically to get to know one another depending on the details of her voice line.

She was heard in the Livestreams below that YouTuber Xafrel has compiled in English, Chinese, and Korean. In case you missed it, you can watch the entire Genshin Impact Version 2.8 Livestream on their official YouTube page.
